One Year Ago

October 13, 2016
One year ago, I was one of the hundreds of hospital workers who testified before the Wage Review Committee. And on Tuesday, I was among those who went down to City Council to celebrate a year of wins for our patients, our families, and our city.
We know that the change we’re making is lifting up thousands of working families in Pittsburgh – but, as City Councilmember Rev. Ricky Burgess said – “there’s still plenty of work to do.”

Read more about the Wage Review Committee’s update on our progress in WESA – then share it on Facebook

We’ve been making gains together over the past year. But we’re not going to stop until every single Pittsburgh hospital worker has $15 an hour and union rights.

Take a minute to read about our progress, and share the WESA’s coverage with your friends on Facebook

Together, we’re going to keep moving Pittsburgh forward.
